Amirabdollahian, who is on a visit to Baghdad, made the remarks in a meeting with Iraq's national security adviser Qasim al-Araji where they discussed bilateral issues as well of the latest regional developments.
The Iranian foreign minister hailed efforts made by the Iraqi official to manage security issues on the joint border.
He expressed satisfaction with the formation of a joint security committee to address some concerns about the Iraqi Kurdistan region.
Amirabdollahian said that Iran cannot accept any kind of presence of anti-revolutionary and separatist groups in the Iraqi Kurdistan region, noting that such issues create a threat to Iran, and even the Kurdistan region.
The Iraqi official, for his part, said that if the regional countries develop widespread cooperation, there will be no room for the presence of aliens in the region.
He also said that any threat against the Islamic Republic of Iran via Iraqi soil cannot be acceptable.
