Addressing rallygoers in the city of Tabriz, East Azarbaijan Province, on the occasion of the Bahman 22nd (February 11) commemoration of the 44th victory anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, Qalibaf said that efficiency depends on meeting people’s demands because the Islamic Revolution has its roots in the religion of Islam; so, we should not make wrong decisions to pave the way for enemies to pursue their plots.
If we have some weak points, we should not conceal them under the guise of religion; so, we should have the ability to resolve problems in our decision-making system, the speaker noted.
He urged the Iranian officials to be aware that our country is a dynamic and vigorous state; therefor, such a nation should entitle demanding, complaining and contributing; of course such issues have been witnessed during the years after the victory of the Islamic Revolution.
The country is facing an opportunist enemy, which resorts to hybrid warfare and misuses any opportunity, but the Iranian authorities pay heed to the popular demands and avoid the foes’ greed, he noted.
Underlining the need for reviewing methods of governance, he said that we need transformation of governance, which requires attention to youths, women and elite sectors of the society to pursue the second phase of development in Iran.
The Iranian government and parliament are determined to create serious economic and social developments in the framework of the seventh development plan, which will kickstart from 1402 (March 21, 2023 to March 20, 2024), Qalibaf said.
