Tehran, IRNA – Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi on Tuesday voiced his country's readiness to provide aid to the quake-affected people in Syria, noting that Iran has always been standing by Syria in tough times.

Speaking during a phone conversation with his Syrian counterpart Bashar al-Assad, the Iranian ambassador offered condolences over a deadly earthquake which killed and injured hundreds of people in the country.

The Syrian president, for his part, called on the Islamic Republic of Iran to share experiences with Syria on holding rescue operations.

President Raisi agreed to help Syria in the rescue operations and dispatch a technical team to the country.
