Tehran, IRNA – Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian on Monday held a phone conversation with his Irish counterpart Micheal Martin, inviting him to pay a visit to Iran.

Amirabdollahian and Martin, who was appointed as Ireland’s foreign minister on December 17, 2022, discussed bilateral and consular issues.

Amirabdollahian congratulated him on taking the top diplomatic post, which he expressed hope that would help make relations between the two countries grow further.  

The Irish foreign minister thanked his Iranian counterpart, saying that he has always respected Iran as a country rich in culture and history.
