Tashkent, IRNA – The 26th meeting of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Council of Ministers (COM) starts in Uzbekistan's Tashkent with the Iranian delegation's participation headed by Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian on Tuesday.

The 26th Meeting of the organization’s Council of Ministers is scheduled for January 24, 2023, and Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian left Tehran for Uzbekistan’s capital Tashkent on Monday night (yesterday) to attend a ministerial meeting of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) there.

The event is attended by delegations from Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Pakistan, Iran, and Uzbekistan, as well as the ECO Secretariat.

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian will address the council and is scheduled to separately hold bilateral meetings with participating ministers of member states and other dignitaries on the sidelines of the event.

The 25th COM was held in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan in November 2021.
