Tehran, IRNA – Foreign minister said that the Iranian Parliament speaker's participation in trilateral parliamentary meeting of Iran, Turkiye and Azerbaijan Republic had good achievements in decreasing misconceptions between Tehran and Baku, and other good steps were taken.

Elaborating on Iran Parliament speaker's Turkiye visit, Hossein Amirabdollahian on Tuesday referred to his participation in the 13th Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA), especially at its summit meeting, saying that it was a golden opportunity.

"That is because the Parliament speaker's presence in Turkiye and his participation at the APA gathering played an important role in progress of the country's diplomacy through parliamentary diplomacy and his participation in the trilateral meeting with his counterparts from Turkiye and Azerbaijan Republic, too, had good achievements, including decreasing the misunderstandings between Tehran and Baku," said Amirabdollahian.

Referring to another achievement of Qalibaf in his Turkiye visit, the Iranian foreign minister said that the developments in the Caucasus region, too, were focused on during that visit.

"I believe all these are very excellent parliamentary achievements at the summit level, and I appreciate Mr. Qalibaf for it," added Amirabdollahian.
