Special school for foreign nationals opens in Ilam

Ilam, IRNA – Head of the local branch of Iran's Organization for Development, Renovation and Equipping Schools (DRES) in western province of Ilam says a special school for foreign nationals has opened in the provincial capital of Ilam in a joint project with the United Nations refugee agency (UNHCR).

Speaking to IRNA, Jalal Hamreh said that the UNHCR had provided some 62 billion rials ($16,000) for 12-classroom school and the rest of the funding needed for the school, around 100 billion rials, had come from the DRES.

Hamreh added that the all-boys school will operate in two shifts for foreign nationals, especially Iraqis, living in Ilam.
