Police arrests arsonists, vandals in western Iran

Ilam, IRNA – Deputy chief of Iran’s police forces in western Ilam province says six people have been arrested in the city of Darreh Shahr for carrying out arson attacks and destroying public property.

Colonel Hossein Najafi said on Monday that the six had been arrested on charges of disrupting public order and security during riots that erupted in Darreh Shahr last week.

Najafi said that the suspects had been handed over to Ilam’s judicial authorities for prosecution.
