President Raisi in Tehran Uni to mark Student Day

Tehran, IRNA – President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi, attended a ceremony underway in University of Tehran on Wednesday to commemorate the National Student Day on December 7.

Some university professors and students are present in the today ceremony.

The National Student Day marks protests held in the University of Tehran about seven decades ago against resumption of relations between Iran and Britain. During the protest staged on the eve of visit of the then US president Richard Milhous Nixon to Iran, three university students were killed by Pahlavi regime.
