The female Iranian handball players beat their Australian rivals 43-15 during their third competition at the Asian Women’s Handball Championship in South Korea.
The Iranian team is now among the four top teams taking part in the Asian games after they beat India in their first competition and Uzbekistan in their second match.
The Iranians, in their fourth and final match, will compete with their hosts, the South Koreans, this coming Wednesday.
This is the second time in its history that Iran’s Women National Handball Team is ascending to the global tournaments.
The 19th Asian Women’s Handball Championship kicked off on November 24 and will wrap up on December 4.
