The official told IRNA on Saturday that a total of 1,548,415 tons of goods were transported via Milak and Mirjaveh border crossing points, out of which 247,227 tons were exported, while 422,671 tons were imported, and 671 tons were transited.
The exported goods were mainly gas condensates, gasoline, cement, and dairy products, Kord added.
He also said that Sistan and Baluchestan Province has several land and water borders, giving it a special position in trade. Plus, Kord added, this province has a history of trade exchanges as it was part of the most important trade network of the previous centuries, the Silk Road.
The official also referred to border trade exchanges, saying they play a great role in boosting relations between countries.
