--Iran’s Jan.–Sept. car output exceeds that of France, UK, Italy: ACEA

Iran’s car output from January to September exceeded that of major car manufacturing nations in Europe like France, UK and Italy, according to figures by the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA).
ACEA figures showed that Iranian car manufacturers churned out a total of 949,817 cars in the three quarters to September, up 31.2% from the same period last year.

-- Iran, Belarus develop roadmap to ramp up economic ties

Iran and Belarus have developed a detailed roadmap to significantly boost their trade ties, according to Iranian Industry, Mine and Trade Minister Reza Fatemi-Amin.
Fatemi-Amin said on Wednesday that the roadmap, which will cover major export and import deals between Iran and Belarus, could be finalized in early 2023 when Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko is expected to pay an official visit to Tehran.
“A comprehensive document containing 16 articles has been devised which covers all issues (on bilateral ties) including transportation, customs, consular issues, manufacturing, agriculture, trade and education,” the minister said.

-- Tang-e Chogan: A Sassanid newsrock

Newspapers have come in multiple forms, including paper and digital. Yet another form which you might not be familiar with is the rock form. Yes, you heard it right. The ancient Sassanid Persian dynasty (224- 651 CE), like their ancestors, carved their honors and victories on the face of a towering rock in Tang-e Chogan (Chogan Gorge) in the southwestern province of Fars, a UNESCO Heritage Site, located at about 145km west of Shiraz.
The picturesque landscape of Tang-e Chogan, with its amazing view, yielded a great spot for polo games, the popular ancient Persian sport. Back then, the Sassanid kings enjoyed and played polo games on horseback on the green fields of the gorge. The word chogan in Persian means polo. The word tangeh means gorge. Tang-e Chogan refers to a gorge, where people played Chogan.

--- Iran’s exports to EU up 28% in 9 months on year

The value of Iran’s export to the European Union (EU)’s member states rose 28 percent in the first nine months of 2022, as compared to the same period in 2021, according to the data released by the European Union's statistics office Eurostat.

The Eurostat’s data show that Iran exported commodities worth €799 million to the union in the nine-month period of this year, while the figure was €623 million in the same time span of the previous year.

-- Tehran, Moscow agree on transit of 12m tons of Russian goods via Iran

Iran and Russia have agreed on transit of 12 million tons of Russian goods via Iran along the International North-South Transit Corridor (INSTC), Head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Railways (known as RAI) Miad Salehi announced.

The agreement has been made during Salehi’s visit to Russia for attending a meeting of the Coordinating Council on Trans-Eurasian Transportation (CCTT).

--ECO Cultural Institute launches of analytical bibliography of Iqbal

The ECO Cultural Institute (ECOCI) hosted a book launch celebration for an analytical historical bibliography of Allama Muhammad Iqbal on Wednesday evening. Written by Hakimeh Dastranji, “Iqbal in the Contemporary Persian World” has recently been published by the institute.

The book launch was organized to mark the 145th birthday celebration of the South Asian Muslim writer, philosopher and politician, the institute announced.

-- Veteran Diplomats Urge Unity to Foil Hybrid War

A number of veteran diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic have signed a statement, saying the recent riots in Iran are part of an all-out hybrid warfare waged by the enemies.
They called for efforts to upgrade national unity, promote unison among different religions and tribes, and create harmony among various political tendencies to help foil the plot. They also condemned atrocious and heinous attacks by terrorists and rioters, calling on the Iranian elite to help defend Islam, the Islamic Revolution and the holy establishment of the Islamic Republic.

-- Iran Starts Power Trading With Turkey, Exports to Europe in Sight

Spokesman of Iran’s state electricity company Tavanir Mostafa Rajabi has said that his country and Turkey have started trading electricity for a first time, amid Iran’s plans to launch power exports to European countries via the Turkish grid.
Rajabi said that Iran and Turkey had started trading 600 megawatts (MW) of electricity after successfully synchronizing their power grids.
Rajabi said electricity trading between Iran and Turkey uses a modern technology that will protect electricity transfer between the two countries from frequency disruptions.

-- Tehran Observes ‎Iqbal Lahori Birth Anniversary

On the occasion of commemorating the 145th birthday anniversary of Allama ‎Iqbal Lahori at a ceremony, President of ECO Cultural Institute (ECI) Murodjon ‎Buriboev said literature is the glorious banner of ECO nations.‎
In this ceremony which was held by ECI and Pakistan’s Embassy in Tehran, the book ‘Iqbal in the ‎Contemporary Persian World: Analytical Historical Bibliography of Iqbal Studies in Iran ‎from 2012 to 2022’ published by ECI was also unveiled.
