--Iran opens first section of railway link to Chabahar port

Iran launched a first section of a key rail link to Chabahar, its only ocean port on the Sea of Oman.
Iran’s Vice President Mohammad Mokhber traveled to the city of Khash in the southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan on Thursday to inaugurate the 154-kilometer rail link from the city to the provincial capital of Zahedan.

-- Iran raises renewable power purchase prices up to 60%

Iran has increased its prices for purchasing renewable power from small electricity generators by up to 60% as part of efforts to encourage the development of renewable energy supplies.
Iran’s Energy Ministry announced the new prices on Thursday that covered small-scale solar and wind generators.
The announcement showed electricity supplied to the Iranian power grid by solar generators that produce less than 20 kilowatts of electricity will increase by 20% to 17,500 rials ($0.05) per kilowatt hour (kWh).

Jahan Nama Garden was very green and prosperous. The garden, like the three other gardens of Shiraz including Eram, Delgosha and Takht-e Qaracheh, was settled and green before the invasion of Timur Gurkhani (1336-1405 CE).
Jahan Nama Garden was noticed by Timur during his stay in Shiraz, so he built a similar garden around Samarqand that was Timur’s birthplace, and called it “Jahan Nama”.

-- Iran Won Great Victory Against Western-Israeli Sedition

Hezbollah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah on Friday said the Islamic Republic of Iran once again won a great victory against the Western-Israeli sedition.
This process will continue,” Nasrallah added, in a televised address marking Hezbollah’s “Martyr Day”.
The Hezbollah chief touched on Iran’s fuel aid to Lebanon, after Iraqi media reports on Wednesday said a convoy of tankers carrying fuel from Iran to Lebanon had come under Israeli attack on the Iraqi-Syrian border.

-- Iranian Arms in Ukraine ‘Baseless Accusation’

 Iran has again dismissed Western accusations about Iran’s delivery of arms to Russia to be used against Ukraine, saying that the Islamic Republic is against any kind of war and favors ceasefire and peace.

“Sending Iranian weapons to Russia for use in the Ukraine war is a baseless accusation that they raise every day to legitimize their daily practice of exporting weapons to Ukraine,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani tweeted.

-- Iran Beat Nicaragua 1-0 in Tough Friendly Game

The national Iran football team in a friendly game beat guest team, Nicaragua 1-0 in a tough game here on Thursday night.
The game in the empty 100,000-spectator football field at Tehran’s Azadi Sports Complex began at 7:30 pm, Thursday night and the referee from Tajikistan was Gulmurdi Sadulo with his two Tajik assistant referees.
Head Coach Carlos Queiroz, whose legionnaire players were absent due to their commitments in EU and UAE football leagues, used a combination of some players in homeland Iran, and some legionnaires from Qatar league, as well as some young and even teen aged players.

-- Bundestag mulling over closure of Hamburg Islamic Center

 Germany’s federal parliament, the Bundestag, is pondering on the closure of the Hamburg Islamic Center (Islamisches Zentrum Hamburg – IZH).

The decision to contemplate on the issue was made after the center-right Christian Democrats introduced a resolution in the Bundestag, calling for closing the IZH and prohibiting the organization from working with German government agencies in support of the recent unrest occurring in Iran. 

-- High-ranking Russian delegation visits Iran seeking expansion of transport ties

Igor Yevgenyevich Levitin, aide to the president of the Russian Federation, visited Iran on top of a high-ranking delegation to meet with Iranian Transport and Urban Development Minister Rostam Qasemi and discuss the expansion of transport ties.

As reported by the portal of the Iranian Transport Ministry, during the meeting with Qasemi on Thursday, Levitin said he has been tasked by his country’s president to take the necessary measures for the implementation of Iran’s Rasht-Astara railway and the signaling of the country’s Incheh Borun-Garmsar railway line.

-- Iran among the world’s safest tourist destinations, minister says

Iran is one of the safest tourist destinations in the world, Iranian Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts Minister Ezzatollah Zarghami has said.

Despite the media’s promotion of Iranophobia, Iran can be one of the best options for travelers from around the world, CHTN quoted the minister as saying on Thursday.

The holding of international sports events, such as the 2022 Asian Senior Men’s Beach Volleyball Championship in Bandar Abbas, amid recent unrest, demonstrates Iran’s security and planning capabilities, he added.
