Amirabdollahian was speaking on Monday at a meeting with new Venezuelan ambassador to Iran, Jose Rafael Silva Aponteas.
The top Iranian diplomat was referring to the agreements reached during a visit by Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro to Tehran.
Amirabdollahian called Maduro’s visit an important stage in ties between the two countries, stressing the importance of implementing the agreements that President Maduro and President Ebrahim Raisi reached to boost mutual cooperation.
The new Venezuelan ambassador, who submitted his credentials to Amirabdollahian, said that he will do his best during his mission to help promote Tehran-Caracas relations.
Jose Rafael Silva Aponteas was picked the new ambassador to Tehran by President Maduro in July.
During Maduro’s visit to Tehran, the two sides signed a document on 20-year cooperation in different fields, including politics, economy and culture, as well as oil and petrochemical industries.
