Tehran, IRNA - Deputy Head of Iran presidential office for political affairs Mohammad Jamshidi on Monday referred to the visit of the Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, adding that Caucasus countries enjoy strategic significance.

During an exclusive interview with IRNA, Jamshidi said that Pashinyan headed by an economic and political delegation is scheduled to travel to Tehran tomorrow at the invitation of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi.

Emphasizing the geopolitical position of the Caucasus and the importance of its borders, Jamshidi highlighted that earlier the President of Turkiye traveled to Tehran and Armenia is another Caucasus country that the prime minister of this country will visit Iran to discuss bilateral and important issues in the region.

Referring to the importance of regional diplomacy in the 13th government in Iran, Jamshidi reiterated that the Islamic Republic of Iran welcomes the visits of other countries' officials and considers such trips as a step forward and improves relations with all states.
