Tehran, IRNA – A number of Arab countries have joined an international chorus of condemnation against the Wednesday terrorist attack in Shiraz that killed 15 people at the city’s famous Shah Cheragh holy shrine.

Bahrain’s Foreign Ministry on Thursday posted a message on its website, condemning the shooting attack at the religious site that caused casualties among civilians.

The ministry said that the attack violates all ethical, humanitarian and religious values.

It extended condolences with the families of the victims, saying that Bahrain rejects extremism, terrorism and violence in all their forms.

The UAE Foreign Ministry condemned the attack as well, and expressed condolences to the people and government of Iran.

The ministry, in a statement on its website, said that the UAE rejects terrorism in all forms that are aimed at security of countries.

The Iraqi Foreign Ministry also slammed the Shah Cheragh attack, stressing that the government in Baghdad is determined to fight terrorism and extremism.

The Foreign Ministry in Egypt echoed the same comments, and denounced the Daesh-claimed attack in Shiraz.

The country called for more international efforts to uproot terrorism.  

Also condemning the attack, the Lebanese Foreign Ministry, said that the perpetrators behind the crime should be dealt with firmly.   

In Oman, Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said condemned the attack and expressed sympathy with the Iranian people.

The Omani Foreign Ministry issued a separate statement denouncing the terror attack in the southern Iranian city.
