Tehran, IRNA – Female Iranian athlete Haniyeh Rostamian, taking part in the World Shooting Championships in Egypt, managed to win Iran’s first quota for the 2024 Summer Olympics.

Rostamian, a member of the Iranian 25 m air pistol team, took part in women's games in the first ISSF World Shooting Championships in the Egyptian capital Cairo.

The Cairo competitions began on October 12 and will wrap up on October 25.

They also serve as a qualification event for the 2024 Summer Olympics set to be held in Paris.
