Tehran, IRNA – Iran's 63-Kg weight Greco-Roman senior athlete beat his Georgian competitor in Spain 2022 Senior Word Championship to win the team's 2nd gold medal on Tuesday evening.

The matches for the 1st to 3rd place of the light weight of Greco-Roman U-23 are being held in Pontevedra city, Spain.

In 63-Kg weight Iran's Iman Mohammadi got rest in the first match, but beat his Egyptian competitor in his 2nd match to reach the quarter final. In the quarter final match, he beat Japan's Rioto Ikida 7-1 to reach the semifinal.

In the semifinal, too Mohammadi beat Zia Babashov 5-1 to reach the final and in the final he beat Safar Georgi from Georgia to win the World Senior Championship's gold medal in his weight.

Earlier on the first day of the competitions, Pouya Dadmarz, the 55kg weight athlete in Iranian senior men's team participating in Spain 2022 Senior Word Championship had won the team's 1st gold medal.
