Rezaei, who is on an official visit to Doha, met with Minister of Commerce and Industry of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Abdullah Al Thani.
In the meeting, the Iranian official referred to the expansion of economic exchanges between the two countries in recent years, noting that the volume of trade and economic exchanges between Qatar and Iran should increase significantly, which needs more attention to all capacities.
According to the Iranian official, the markets of regional countries enjoy numerous potentials and Iran can play a key role in transiting commodities to Qatar via different efforts such as construction of new joint ports.
The Qatari minister, for his part, said that holding joint exhibitions will end up in expansion of mutual trade relations.
There are numerous opportunities to develop trade exchanges between Iran and Qatar, which should be utilized in order to help maximize the bilateral relationship, he added.
Rezaei has traveled to Qatar with the aim of participating in the opening ceremony of an exhibition for showcasing Iran’s capabilities in Doha and also following up on the situation of agreements between the two countries in economic and trade fields.
The Iranian solo exhibition is being held from October 17 to 20. Some 14 Iranian companies active in the food industry, trade, insurance, leather, oil, gas, and advanced fire extinguishing systems, take part in the exhibition to showcase their achievements and services.
