Tehran, IRNA – Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said on Wednesday that the foreign policy of his administration is based on building relations with regional and extra-regional organizations.

President Raisi made the remarks speaking to reporters before leaving Tehran for Astana to attend the 6th Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA).

The president said that during his short stay in Kazakhstan’s capital, he will have meetings with his counterparts from the member countries.

He said that cooperation with regional and trans-regional organizations can strengthen convergence, good neighborliness and multilateralism.

The president said that cooperation with organizations such as CICA can help Iran build good connections with economic infrastructure of Asia.

The role of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as a powerful country with different capacities, can be an opportunity for other Asian countries which brings about peace, stability and security.
