Tehran, IRNA – Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi said that the enemies thought they could use Iranian universities to reach their goals, but students and professors did not let them succeed.

Speaking in a new school year celebration on Saturday, President Raisi said that about 60 percent of students in Iran are women and many women shined in the scientific sphere of the country during past four decades.

He said that students and professors have led the country to reach a high level of power and competency and Iran has made great progress in various scientific and industrial fields, while it had to import even barbed wires.

Touching on talks to remove sanctions against Iran, President Raisi said that Iran had announced from the beginning that it would not leave the negotiating table and it is committed to respectful negotiations and this logic had been accepted by the world.
