In an interview with IRNA on Saturday, Masoud Shajareh said that what happened last Sunday’s incident during which anti-revolutionary elements clashed with the London Police and wounded some of them was unacceptable.
He said that protesters violently attacked Pakistanis who were mourning on the occasion of Arbaeen and took off women’s hijab.
The police escorted the protesters to the Islamic Center of England where the police were attacked by protesters, according to Shajareh.
He also mentioned the rally to be held later today in front of the Islamic Center of England to condemn last week’s protests, noting that those protests shouldn’t have gone violent under the pretext of developments in Iran.
Shajareh criticized London Police, saying that the police should have contained them through other methods instead of escorting them to Hyde Park.
London Police has called on people to help them identify 13 violent protesters.
