Tehran, IRNA –Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian said on Wednesday that Iran and India have historical bonds and friendly ties, while enjoying various capacities that should be used to further expand bilateral cooperation.

The top diplomat made the comment in a meeting with Iranian Ambassador to India, Iraj Elahi, before the envoy departed Tehran for New Delhi.

The ambassador briefed the minister on his work plan and received directions from him.
