Tehran, IRNA – Managing director of Imam Khomeini Airport City Company said on Tuesday that Iran will have normal flights to Najaf as unrests in the Iraqi city have calmed.

Saeed Chalandari said that Imam Khomeini International Airport is fully ready to back up Tehran-Najaf flights.

He said that as of 17:00 o’clock local time today, any domestic or foreign airline which has the permit for flight to Iraq and requires to do so can use Imam Khomeini Airport.  

Chalandari added that the airport is ready to back up all flights that were cancelled between 19:00 o’clock of Monday and 17: 00 o’clock of Tuesday and send the passengers to Najaf.
