Ahvaz, IRNA – Khuzestan Province governor-general Sadegh Khalilian said that some 20,000 job opportunities have been made in this province in the last five months and it will reach to 60,000 by mid-March signaling economic prosperity in the province.

Khalilian made the remarks on the sidelines of the opening ceremony of the Government Week exhibition in Ahvaz on Sunday.

The governor-general said that 30 trillion Rials had been allocated to the development of industries and production units in the agricultural and industrial sector in Khuzestan Province.

Khalilian also added that 20 trillion Rials had been recently allocated to this province which will be distributed as interest-free loans to support production and employment.

162 inactive and semi-active production units in Khuzestan have been reactivated or resumed full activity since last march making 20,000 new jobs, Khalilian said, adding that this number will reach 60,000 by mid-March.
