Referring to the friendly relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Japan over the past years, Kazutoshi Aikawa welcomed the development of Tehran-Tokyo relations in all areas, said adding that he would do all he could to improve and strengthen relations between the two states.
He also expressed his appreciation to the Managing Director of the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) for inviting senior managers of Japanese news agencies to attend the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA) General Assembly meeting and expressed hope that the upcoming summit will be held successfully.
Naderi, for his part, described the determination of the 13th government in Iran to develop and bolster relations with friendly states, adding that the phone calls of the presidents and foreign ministers of Iran and Japan are a testament to the interest of the high-ranking officials of the two countries to develop relations in all areas.
Pointing to the media interactions between Iran and Japan, Naderi called for the strengthening of media cooperation between the two countries, particularly IRNA with Japanese media.
Exchange of media delegations between the two countries, stress on the presence of senior Japanese media executives at the General Assembly of the OANA Summit, IRNA's readiness to host the Japanese media delegation's visit to Iran to see the Islamic Republic's progress and achievements in various fields, strengthen the media cooperation of the Japanese Embassy in Iran with the Islamic Republic News Agency and the development of cultural and sports cooperation as well as science were the other topics discussed in this meeting.
