Dr. Ramesh Narayin Mathur, an Indian physician and radiologist, told IRNA in an interview on the occasion of National Doctors' Day in the Iranian calendar, which is concurrent with the birthday anniversary of Ibn Sina (Avicenna), that the Iranian physicians are very serious when it comes to their jobs.
The Iranian doctors are very thirsty to learn medical know-how because they are very interested in progressing their capabilities, he added.
According to the Indian national who studied radiology at Shahid Beheshti University in Tehran, Iranian doctors are very famous throughout the globe, so many countries are keen on using their skills.
He compared the healthcare situation in Iran before and after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, noting that the country had only medical facilities in big cities and many villages did not have any healthcare centers.
In 1976, the then-Iranian government asked India to dispatch tens of doctors in return for supplying India with fuel; thus, India sent 70 doctors to Iran, but present Iran enjoys a better situation than India in terms of medical care.
