Tehran, IRNA – Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon offered his condolences over the deaths of dozens of people in recent floods in Iran.

In a message to the Iranian President on Wednesday, Rahmon extended his condolences to Ebrahim Raisi as well as the families of the victims and the Iranian people.

Floods triggered by torrential rains hit 24 out of 31 provinces of Iran over the past several days, causing fatalities and material damage.   

According to the National Disaster Management Organization of Iran, the death toll stood at 76 as of August 1.
