Tehran, IRNA – Iran Air announced the end of this year’s Hajj pilgrimage operation with 14 flights operated per day to flew Iranian pilgrims to and out of Saudi Arabia.

Shamsuddin Farzadipour, acting chairman of the Iranian airline, said on Saturday that the last Hajj-related flight landed early on Saturday morning in Imam Khomeini International Airport.

Farzadipour said that Iranian maintenance engineers successfully carried out several engine replacements during this season of Hajj and even returned a grounded plane to the active fleet.

Iran Air recorded an average of 14 flights per day during this Hajj season, according to the captain.
