Tehran, IRNA -- Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian on Monday night met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Ankara.

The meeting took place hours after Amirabdollahian held talks with his Turkish Counterpart Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.

The top Iranian diplomat is visiting Turkey upon an invitation by Çavuşoğlu and arrived in the Turkish capital on Monday afternoon.

Amirabdollahian is set to travel to Turkmenistan from Turkey to attend a ministerial meeting of the Caspian Sea littoral states.
