Tehran, IRNA – Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian left Tehran for Ankara, Turkey, on Monday for bilateral discussions with high-ranking Turkish officials.

The visit to Turkey by the Iranian foreign minister is taking place upon an invitation by his Turkish counterpart Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.

The visit is scheduled to give a boost to bilateral relations between the two countries, as well as regional and international cooperation.

He is scheduled to travel to Turkmenistan after a trip to Ankara to attend the Caspian Foreign Ministers' Meeting.
