Mirahmadi, who traveled to Dushanbe to attend the first meeting of the joint security working group between Iran and Tajikistan, met and held talks with Tajikistan’s Interior Minister Ramazon Rahimzoda on Monday.
Pointing to the joint security task force that promotes the security of the two states and neutralizes the threats posed by the foes of the two nations, Mirahmadi stressed Iran’s strong will to implement the agreements and mandates of the leaders of the two countries to strengthen relations in all fields.
Rahimzoda, for his part, stressed efforts to implement the agreements between the two states.
Describing the joint security task force as strengthening relations and enforcing the serious willingness of the two countries' top officials on performing previously signed agreements, he expressed the readiness of the Republic of Tajikistan and its Ministry of Internal Affairs to develop ties with Iran in all areas, including counterterrorism, organized crime, and drug trafficking.
