Bushehr, IRNA – Aframax 2 oil tanker left the port of Bushehr on Wednesday for the Persian Gulf for maritime tests.

Managing Director of Iran Marine Industrial Company (SADRA) announced on Wednesday at the ceremony that the construction of the Aframax 2 oil tanker was carried out in this company for 2 years and today it left for the Persian Gulf for maritime tests. After passing the tests, it will be delivered to foreign customers.

Ali Zarei added: Aframax 2 oil tanker weighing 21,500 tons, 250 meters long and 44 meters wide, 21 meters high on the deck, can carry 113,000 tons of crude oil equivalent to 750,000 barrels.

He went on to say that the oil tanker has a propulsion engine with a power of 21,000 Horsepower and three diesel generators, each of which can produce 900 kilowatts of electricity.

Zarei said that the vessel with 36 crew, including captains, ship officers, technicians, and sailors, has the ability to move at a speed of 15 knots in the oceans.
