Tehran, IRNA – Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian on Sunday in the meeting of the Executive Director of Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), Kairat Sarybay, stressed the need to strengthen CICA's potential in combating terrorism.

Executive Director of Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), Kairat Sarybay, who is in Tehran, met with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian on Sunday.

In this meeting, the Iranian Foreign Minister referred to the important role of CICA in regional and international developments, and stressed the need to further strengthen the organization's potentials in regional issues, especially terrorism and extremism.

Kairat Sarybay, for his part, hailed the constructive participation and cooperation of the Islamic Republic of Iran in CICA regional activities, presented a report on the Secretariat's actions, outlining the plans for the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia, including the CICA's upcoming Summit in the coming months.
