-- Iraq to dispatch a delegation to Tehran to discuss gas supply
An Iraqi delegation will travel to Iran to resolve gas supply issues amid efforts to prevent a shortage of electricity in the Arab country over the warm summer months. Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi ordered the country’s Electricity Ministry to assign a delegation for the trip to Tehran, said reports in the local Iraqi media.
Khadhimi’s office said in a Twitter post that the trip will be aimed at finding a solution to problems hampering the supply of natural gas from Iran.
-- Iran’s annual exports to ASEAN states top $2.3b
Iran exported $2.371 billion worth of commodities to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) member states during the year to March 20, 2022, announced deputy head of the Trade promotion Organization.
Mohsen Rezaei-Pour said the figure indicates an increase of 33 percent compared to the corresponding figure of the preceding year.
-- Cleaning project implemented in Soltaniyeh Dome of Zanjan Province
On the occasion of the International Day for Monuments and Sites (April 18), also known as World Heritage Day, a cleaning project was carried out in Soltaniyeh Dome located in the city of Soltaniyeh, northwestern province of Zanjan.
Announcing the above, Hossein Eidani, director of Soltaniyeh Dome World Heritage Site, said that the historical properties and monuments are the identity of a region, chtn.ir reported.
He urged local people to cooperate with cultural heritage officials in preserving ancient sites, underlining, “We will do our best to train the general public in this regard.”

-- Iran Unveils New Defense Achievements
Iran on Monday unveiled a number of new drones and homegrown missile systems in a military parade marking the National Army Day.
Four divisions of the Iranian Army, namely the Ground Force, the Navy, the Air Force, and the Air Defense, held military parades in the presence of President Ebrahim Raisi.
-- Iraqi President: Ties With Iran Very Important
Iraqi President Barham Salih said Monday expanding bilateral ties with Iran in different areas is very important to Baghdad.
Salih made the comment in a meeting with outgoing Iranian ambassador to Baghdad Iraj Masjedi. He referred to deep relations and cooperation between Iran and Iraq, saying it’s important for Tehran and Baghdad to work toward expanding this cooperation that will fulfill the interests of both nations.

Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman said Monday Iran and the U.S. are exchanging messages and this is done through the European coordinator for the negotiations Enrique Mora.
“What is being talked about in Vienna is in strict compliance with the Iran nuclear deal, the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, and there is no plan to make any change to the JCPOA. The JCPOA and the UN Security Council resolution 2231 have been the criteria for how we proceed,” Saeed Khatibzadeh said in his weekly presser.

-- Doc spotlights Islamic philosopher Mohammadreza Hakimi’s life story
Filmmaker Mahmud Asadi has put top Islamic philosopher Mohammadreza Hakimi under the microscope in a documentary, the Documentary, Experimental and Animation Film Center (DEAFC) said on Monday.
Asadi was in company with Hakimi for 30 years and has conducted interviews with dozens of philosophers and experts for his documentary entitled “Cough of Canary and Stroke of Words”.
-- Annual exports to ASEAN rise 33%
The value of Iran's exports to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) member countries rose 33 percent in the previous Iranian calendar year (ended on March 20) compared to the figure for the preceding year, the portal of Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) reported.
According to Secretary of the TPO’s ASEAN Trade Promotion Desk Mohsen Rezaei-Pour, the Islamic Republic’s export to the mentioned union reached $2.371 billion in the mentioned year.
-- Iran’s ‘Taj Mahal’ cleaned to mark Intl. Day for Monuments and Sites
A host of cultural heritage advocates have recently cleaned the UNESCO-designated Gonbad-e Soltaniyeh and its premises to celebrate the International Day for Monuments and Sites. Surmounted by a huge double-shell brick dome, the 14th-century monument is sometimes referred to as Iran’s ‘Taj Mahal’.
“We hope this clean-up project would help promote - and draw people's attention to - the preservation of natural and historical heritage,” IRIB quoted the director of the World Heritage site as saying on Monday.
