Ulyanov told reporters on Wednesday that some in public space were trying to blame Russia for protracting the talks.
He elaborated that the talks and even the text of the final agreement had not yet been finalized, predicting that the final text could be ready on Thursday, “but not for sure.”
The Russian envoy said that there were “no consent or confirmation from all participants that the text is acceptable”, stressing that the talks were not yet ended.
Ulyanov said that Russia has demanded all its trade and economic relations with Iran should be exempt from current and future EU or US sanctions.
One of the goals of the JCPOA is to ensure that Iran maintains normal trade and economic relations with all the world, including Russia, he further elaborated.
Russia is one of the main economic partners of Iran and together with China, the Russian diplomat stressed, they were the only countries that developed trade and economic relations with Iran during the maximum pressure policy imposed by the US on Iran.
He also said that Russian improved their bilateral trade with Iran during the last year by 84 percent, but Europeans did nothing after the US left the JCPOA.
Ulyanov called on the US and Europeans not to interfere with bilateral relations between Iran and Russia.
