Esmaili had travelled to Lebanon to inaugurate Iran cultural week in the country. He met with his Lebanese counterpart while leaving for Tehran on Thursday.
The Iranian culture minister had meetings with the president, prime minister, parliament speaker, and culture minister of Lebanon as well as Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah and families of martyrs during his visit.
He also paid tribute to the tombs of martyrs Imad and Jahad Mughniyeh, Imad al-Din Nasrallah, and other martyrs of the Resistance.
Elsewhere in his Lebanon visit, Esmaili paid a visit to al-Manar TV and met with several cultural figures of Lebanon.
In his meetings with senior Lebanese officials, Iran’s culture minister urged strengthening ties between Tehran and Beirut, saying that constructive interaction between countries in the region would provide their security and prevent foreign intervention.
