Tehran, IRNA – The deputy agriculture minister in horticultural affairs said that Iranian investors and engineers contribute to development of greenhouses in Uzbekistan.

In a meeting with his Uzbek counterpart on Monday in Tehran, Mohammad-Mehdi Boroumandi said that the meeting was held to improve the level of relations with Uzbekistan in agriculture, technology transfer, and exporting technical and engineering services in mechanization, alterant industries and greenhouse construction.

He also highlighted export of dates and horticulture products.

The Uzbek official emphasized development of cultivation and processing of medical plants, as well as greenhouse construction.

Previously, Iranian and Uzbek agriculture ministers agreed on forming a joint working group to increase business transactions in agriculture.
