In the meeting, Amirabdollahian said to Gordan Grlić-Radman that Tehran is ready to further boost its economic ties with Zagreb.
The Iranian foreign minister and his Croatian counterpart discussed the broadening of bilateral ties and some issues of common interest, as well as the regional and international issues.
During the meeting, Amirabdollahian congratulated the Croatian foreign minister on the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Croatia and wished success for the Government and people of that country.
Expressing regret over the lack of a long-term joint economic commission between the two countries in recent years, the Iranian foreign minister said that the mechanism of holding a regular joint economic commission between Iran and Croatia should be activated to develop good political relations between the two countries in the economic field.
He expressed hope that the comprehensive expansion of relations between Tehran and Zagreb would be manifested.
Croatian Foreign Minister Gordan Grlić-Radman, for his part, expressed satisfaction with the meeting with its Iranian counterpart on the country's readiness to expand economic cooperation in all fields, including food industry.
The Croatian foreign minister also expressed his readiness to develop cultural cooperation with Iran, including in the field of expanding the promotion and teaching of languages in the two countries, given the history of good cultural relations between the two countries.
Gordan Grlić-Radman also reviewed the latest developments in the Balkans, discussing some issues of regional and international interest with Amirabdollahian.
