Tehran, IRNA – Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh on Monday condemned the killing of 44 people in Burkina Faso by terrorist groups.

Khatibzadeh expressed deep sorrow over the death of tens of Burkinabes in the attack.

He also offered sympathy to the Burkinabe government and people and the families of the victims.

The spokesman said that the most important factor in the growth of terrorist groups in the region was the interests of specific countries in instability and insecurity in the region.
