“The demise of the war disabled victim, the late brave Iranian ambassador Hassan Irlou, the brother of two martyrs of the Iraqi-imposed war, was a very sad news,” wrote Qalibaf.
He added that that Mujahid in Allah’s way spent his proliferous life in defense of the ideals of Islam and the Islamic Revolution of Iran, and never rested in strengthening the resistance movement for the oppressed regional nations, and especially the brave Yemeni nation.
Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh had earlier announced that the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Ambassador to Yemen Hassan Irlou has been martyred due to being affected by the COVID-19 virus.
Martyr Irlou was among the victims if chemical weapons used by the ousted regime of Saddam Hussain in its imposed war against Iran and when he was forwarded to Iran for remedy his health conditions were so deteriorated that none of the medical measures adopted to save his life worked and he was martyred at dawn of Tuesday, December 21, 2021.
