Tehran, IRNA – Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian on Sunday underlined the role of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in resolving the problems of the Muslim world.

Amirabdollahian made the remarks in a meeting with OIC Secretary General Hissein Brahim Taha on the sidelines of a foreign ministerial meeting of the Organization.

Earlier in the day, Amirabdollahian also met with Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan and the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Turkey.  

The foreign minister left Tehran for Islamabad on Saturday night to attend an emergency meeting of OIC.
