Speaking in a meeting at Army Ground Forces Northeast Headquarters on Tuesday, Hadi Seyyed Afqahi said that the West should earn Iran's trust by practical measures if they want to solve the problems with the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), informally known as the Iran nuclear deal.
He referred to the Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian's demand that the US release 10 billion dollars of Iran's blocked funds, asking whether the American dare to do so.
Without a specified window for solving the crisis, Iran cannot continue negotiation, especially when the Western parties give empty promises and lie, Seyyed Afqahi said.
He went on to add that Iran would pass the current difficult situation by joining Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and major agreements with China, Russia, and India, as well as expanding ties with its neighboring countries.
