Ilam, IRNA – Iranian shooter Javad Foroughi who won a gold medal in Tokyo Olympics 2020 has bagged a gold medal in ISSF President’s Cup in Poland.

Foroughi has participated in the ISSF President’s Cup which is held from November 3 until November 10 in Poland, Director General of Sports and Youth Administration in Ilam Province said, adding that Foroughi has gained a gold medal in the competition.

Accompanied by an Indian shooter, Foroughi competed with rivals from France and Russia in the final round of Mixed 10 meter air pistol category.

Germany-France and Serbia-Greece teams jointly won the bronze medal.

Foroughi received Tokyo Olympics 2020 gold medal in men’s 10 meter air pistol. This was Iran’s first gold medal in Tokyo Olympics and the first gold medal in the history of shooting field in Iran.
