He made the remarks during a meeting with Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia Gnel Sanosyan.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral cooperation, in the area of energy exchange, especially the extension of gas and electricity exchange contracts, and implementing the third line of an electricity transfer project from Armenia to Iran.
The Iranian ambassador and the Armenian minister also explored ways for expansion of bilateral relations within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
Underlining the significance of connection routes, they also discussed the North-South project in Armenia and the latest situation of Goris-Kapan road and the ongoing projects to replace the road with an alternate one.
Iran is scheduled to participate in the completion of the Tatev road in Armenia which is supposed to be an alternative for the Goris-Kapan road to connect Iran to Russia and Europe.
Kheirollah Khademi, the managing director of an Iranian road construction company went to Yerevan on October 4 to inspect the project.
Khademi, who is also Deputy Minister of Road and Urban Development, went to the Armenian capital at the head of a technical and engineering committee to consider the way Iran can participate in the completion project of the road.
