Speaking in a meeting with Iraqi Justice Minister Salar Abdul Sattar Muhammad, Montazeri said that Iran and Iraq have signed four official contracts.
He noted that Iran spared no efforts in fighting the ISIS in Iraq.
Referring to his recent trip to Armenia during which grounds were paved for prisoner swap, he called for further interaction with Iraq in this regard, as well.
He also urged Iraq to sign a MoU with Iran on returning Iranian convicts' frozen assets.
Meanwhile, Sattar Muhammad stressed reinforcing legal and judicial relations with Iran, noting that implementing agreements between the two countries are also on the agenda of his trip to Iran.
In the wake of forming a committee, some 60 Iranian convicts were extradited to Iran in 50 days, he said.
