The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 12th information and communication council and the D-8 Summit in Istanbul.
During the meeting, Zarepour proposed cooperation between the two countries in the field of infrastructure, border-to-border transit, establishment of joint border data centers and increased cooperation between Iranian and Turkish operators.
Referring to Iran's capabilities in the field of satellite construction, he pointed to Iran's readiness to help Turkey in these areas.
He considered the interaction between the elites of the two countries as necessary especially in the field of space issues and called for cooperation between the two countries in international organizations and institutions.
In this meeting, Karaismailoğlu appreciated the presence of the minister in Istanbul, emphasizing that the world is changing rapidly and ICT has high capacities for cooperation.
He announced his country’s readiness to cooperate in this field with neighboring countries.
Referring to Turkey's capabilities in building satellites, Karaismailoğlu also expressed satisfaction with cooperation with Iran in this field.
The summit is attended by 11 ministers and representatives of countries in the region, Europe and Africa.
