Tehran, IRNA - Iran's Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs Ehsan Khandouzi said on Wednesday that with the vote of confidence of Iran's Government, Ali Salehabadi was appointed as the Governor of the Central Bank of Iran.

Khandouzi made the announcement in his Twitter account.

A PhD graduate of University of Tehran in financial management, Salehabadi is the successor to Akbar Komijani, the former Governor of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI).
