Tehran, IRNA – Home-made tactical radar Hormuz and Shams simulator were unveiled at a ceremony with participation of Commander of Iranian Army's Air Defense Force Brigadier General Ali Reza Sabahifard on Saturday.

Hormuz is a tactical radar with average power and Shams simulator is a strategic long-range system.

The aim behind designing and building Hormuz radar is to extract information with speed and identify the distance to target with high accuracy in order to give the information to the control center.

Also, the indigenous Shams simulator has been built to face against ballistic missiles and some other targets.
