President says US sanctions on Iran during pandemic are ‘crimes against humanity’
Iranian President Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi said the US efforts to impose hegemony on other countries have “failed miserably” and Washington’s hegemonic system lacks credibility.
Raeisi made the remarks in an address to the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly via video conference on Tuesday night, his first speech at the main policy-making organ of the world body since taking office last month.

Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said on Tuesday Iran is ready to roll back its countermeasures taken in response to the US withdrawal from the 2015 nuclear deal if the United States returns to full compliance with the multilateral accord verifiably.
“If others return to their commitments and [the return] is verified, we too are ready to stop our remedial actions,” Amir-Abdollahian told EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell in New York City on the sidelines of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly.

As announced by an official with Iran's Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO), container operation has increased 13 percent in the ports of country during the first five months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21-August 22), as compared to the same period of time in the past year.
Farhad Montaser Kouhsari, the PMO’s deputy Head for Ports and Economic Affairs, said 906,218 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) of container goods have been unloaded and loaded in the country's ports.
